About the role
The SAP ABAP Developer will design, develop, and implement complex user profiles and authorization objects within SAP ECC and HANA environments. This role ensures proper access and role management, supports GDPR compliance, and participates in IT General Controls (ITGC) audits. The developer will analyze and tune SAP performance using debugging tools such as runtime analysis and SQL trace, translating complex business and access requirements into secure, efficient SAP roles. Occasional travel to client sites across the US may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement SAP user profiles and authorization objects.
- Ensure access and role management for SAP development objects, SAP ECC, and HANA applications.
- Support GDPR compliance initiatives and ITGC audit requirements.
- Analyze complex business and access requirements to develop appropriate SAP roles.
- Monitor and optimize SAP performance using tools such as runtime analysis and SQL trace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP authorization and access.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Travel to unanticipated client locations within the US as required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant SAP ABAP experience.
- Knowledge of SAP ECC and HANA systems.
- Understanding of GDPR compliance and ITGC audit processes.
- Familiarity with SAP debugging and performance tuning tools (runtime analysis, SQL trace).
