All networking was protected through micro-segmented security groups and network ACLs, complemented by web-facing protections using AWS WAF,Shield, and continuous monitoring via VPC Flow Logs and GuardDuty.
Application and database stacks—including SAP on Linux and Oracle enterprise databases—were fully provisioned using parameterized Terraform templates orchestrated by CI/CD pipelines. Automated peer review, instance hardening, and configuration ensured operational consistency, while routine playbooks guided ongoing tasks and troubleshooting. The solution leveraged AWS Auto Scaling Groups across availability zones for high availability; Oracle Data Guard enabled synchronous replication and disaster recovery across regions, with regular drills validating resilience.
